The development of different laser wavelengths and methods of pulsing is developing in field of medical science. Since the 1960s, lasers have been used in dentistry, and their clinical uses have been evaluated. Many dental procedures involve lasers, which are noted for their simplicity, efficiency, comfort, and superiority over older methods. The CO2, Nd YAG, and Diodes are high-power Class 4 lasers, used for both hard and soft tissue manipulation.

LASER DENTISTRY AND WOUND HEALING The session includes a detailed overview of laser-tissue interactions, operation parameters, and modes of application. A series of representative clinical cases ranging from post-extraction healing and aphthous ulcer treatment to pre-procedural decontamination and surgical interventions such as gingivectomy, frenectomy, and implant exposure demonstrate the laser’s effectiveness in various scenarios. Histopathological and radiographic follow-ups further validate the laser’s ability to stimulate cellular repair mechanisms and support bone regeneration.
