Greater New York Dental Meeting Refund Policy

Cancellation/Refund Policy: Program ticket requests for refunds must be in writing and postmarked no later than November 8, 2024. Tickets/Badges must be included with the cancellation/refund request. Refunds requested after this date will not be granted, including requests based on absence due to illness, late arrival for courses, weather, and/or parking difficulties.   A $20.00 processing fee will be deducted from all refunds after the Cancellation deadline

Refunds will be mailed starting in December 2024. If you have paid by check for a course that has been sold out, you will automatically receive a refund by December 2024.

Greater New York Dental Meeting Conference Conduct Policy

The Organizing Committee of the Greater New York Dental Meeting (“GNYDM”) is dedicated to providing a harassment-and intimidation free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, national origin, sex, age, citizenship, disability, religion, or any other protected classification.  Participants, including attendees, speakers, partners, exhibitors, volunteers, presiding officers, clinicians, registrants, guests and committee members, are expected to follow this Conference Conduct Policy at the GNYDM and all events related thereto.
Participant Behavior

All Participants are expected to treat one another with respect.  Prohibited conduct in relation the GNYDM includes, but is not limited to: intentional intimidation; threats; stalking; bullying; harassing photography or recording; disruption of meetings or other events; inappropriate physical contact; online harassment and unwelcome attention; and offensive comments related to gender, race, sexual orientation, national origin, sex, age, citizenship, disability, religion or any other protected classification directed toward an individual or group.  Similarly, sexual, racist, derogatory, threatening or other inappropriate language and imagery are not appropriate for any conference venue, including meetings.  Advocating for or encouraging any of the above behavior will not be tolerated.
Reporting

If you are subjected to any action or behavior in violation of this policy, please report it immediately to conference staff or volunteers.  Conference staff and volunteers will be happy to assist in contacting venue security, local law enforcement, the General Chairman of the GNYDM, or otherwise assist you to feel safe for the duration of the GNYDM.  Conference staff and volunteers will notify the General Chairman or Executive Director of violations of this policy.
Any form of retaliation against Participants who report harassment or assist in the investigation will not be tolerated.  Retaliation is a serious violation of this policy and will be subject to recourse.
If you are in physical danger or require an immediate response, you are encouraged to notify appropriate law enforcement first by dialing 911.  This policy and the associated process should not be construed as an emergency response mechanism.  
Recourse

Any Participant who violates this Conference Conduct Policy, may be subject to a warning, referred to law enforcement, have his/her conference registration suspended or revoked, and/or be temporarily or permanently banned from future GNYDM events.  Decisions regarding suspension or revocation of conference registration shall be made by the General Chairman of the GNYDM.  Decisions regarding a temporary or permanent ban from future GNYDM events shall be made by the Organizing Committee of the GNYDM after affording the Participant at issue a full and fair opportunity to be heard.  No refunds will be granted to Participants expelled from the GNYDM due to violations of this policy.

This policy is not intended to restrict communications or actions protected or required by state or federal law.
