Description:

Women’s health is complex and ever-changing. From menstruation to menopause, hormonal shifts influence nearly every aspect of a woman’s body, including her oral health. While many hormonal effects are widely discussed, certain medical conditions that predominantly affect women remain under-recognized by healthcare professionals. This program shines a light on these lesser-known conditions such as autoimmune diseases, PMR, Raynaud’s phenomenon, vertigo, and skin disorders and explores how they intersect with dental care. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the unique challenges women face and how to adapt treatment plans to better support their health.

Learn to:

• define autoimmune diseases and explain the role of autoimmunity in women’s overall health
• understand the influence of estrogen on Temporomandibular Disorders
• discuss conditions that disproportionately affect women, including PMR, Raynaud’s phenomenon, vertigo, and dermatological disorders
