Description:

Patients often present with a variety of clinical indications for altering gingival and alveolar levels ranging from caries and restorative needs to aesthetic concerns. In many cases, crown lengthening offers a more predictable and tooth-conserving solution than extraction and implant placement. This hands-on workshop will demonstrate key surgical techniques, including flap elevation and tissue contouring, to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. Participants will also learn various suturing methods designed to enhance flap stabilization and healing.

This course focuses on atraumatic extraction techniques that minimize flap elevation and maximize preservation of the alveolar ridge. Whether planning for a fixed bridge, removable prosthesis, or implant-supported restoration, the preservation of bone volume and keratinized tissue is essential. The lecture will also cover graft and membrane combinations that support predictable socket regeneration.
