Description

This program provides the knowledge to recognize and diagnose potential orthodontic problems that exist and will occur in your patients from 3 to 12 years old, during the development of the permanent dentition. Certain oral habits, jaw development, sleep issues, and breathing habits can be observed and determined. Uniquely designed oral appliances along with protocols are used to correct malocclusions, crowding, functional deficiency, and habitual issues. The HealthyStart system guides incoming teeth into the proper alignment while correcting current orthodontic issues and teaches the patient the proper way to swallow. Implementing Earlydontics, children develop a proper airway, guide and develop the incoming dentition with a stable result, by providing proper sleeping and breathing habits and allowing the child to grow and develop properly.

Learn to:

  • recognize, diagnose and treat current and future malocclusions in young patients
  • identify oral habits: swallowing habits, thumb or finger sucking, mouth breathing, tongue thrust, nasal breathing, tooth grinding, speech problems
  • understand how to treat oral habits and promote proper habits in conjunction while addressing the orthodontic conditions
