Description:
In January 2024, expanded Medicaid dental coverage rules went into effect, extending benefits to include root canals, crowns, replacement dentures, dental implants, and implant-related services.
Since the rollout, the Legal Aid Society and its co-counsel have been closely monitoring the implementation of these new rules particularly the errone- ous denials that many Medicaid patients continue to face.
This workshop will provide:
- An overview of the expanded coverage rules
- A review of the current status of implementation
- Insights into how legal advocates are responding to denials and defending patient rights
- If you serve Medicaid patients or work within the Medicaid system, this is a critical update you won’t want to miss
