Dr. Omar F. Suarez presently is the Former Director of the Orofacial Pain Service at NYU Langone Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He is a graduate of University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After graduation he completed a 2-Year Fellowship in Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain at UMDNJ.
Dr. Suarez is Board Certified with the American Academy of Orofacial pain and was award the distinction of Master in the American Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Suarez has completed a master’s degree in Instruction and Curriculum and Design at the University of the Pacific, Gladys L. Bernard School of Education.
During his Career he has served as a Clinician, Teacher, Administrator, and guest speaker at various national and international meeting mainly in the content area of Temporomandibular Disorders, Orofacial Pain disorders, Xerostomia, and the relationship of Orofacial conditions to systemic inflammatory diseases. Prior to joining NYU-Lutheran Medical Center he has held positions at New York University College of Dentistry and Hospital for Joint Diseases-orthopedic Institute- New York, NY.
