Maintaining the natural dentition of pediatric patients is a priority and, at times, requires endodontic treatment. This lecture discusses endodontic treatments that may be appropriate for pediatric patients, focusing on those with an immature permanent dentition. Biological, clinical, and policy factors that impact endodontic treatment and outcomes are discussed.

A REVIEW OF TRAUMA MANAGEMENT

It is paramount for all dentists to understand how to diagnose and treat the most common dental injuries, especially in an emergency. For many injuries, the time from injury to treatment differentiates between saving a tooth and losing it to later complications. In the first part of the lecture, a detailed description of the diagnostic procedures required in cases of oral and dental trauma is presented. The second part of the lecture focuses on new treatment modalities for dental trauma, with emphasis on the best initial or emergency response.
