Description:

This program introduces participants to the principles and practices of providing equitable, patient-centered oral healthcare for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Participants explore common clinical considerations, communication strategies, and behavior guidance techniques that support effective and compassionate care. The session highlights barriers to access and emphasizes the role of dental professionals in advancing health equity and inclusion. Participants gain practical insights they can apply in clinical and community-based settings.
