CHILDHOOD CANCER AND ORAL HEALTH
Childhood cancer and its treatments can cause various complications in the oral cavity that affect the health, well-being, and quality of life of pediatric patients. This presentation will address the main oral manifestations associated with the disease and cancer therapies, such as mucositis, infections, and xerostomia. It will also highlight the importance of prevention, timely diagnosis, and interdisciplinary management of these complications. Strategies to promote good oral health before, during, and after treatment will be discussed.

CARING PERSPECTIVES
Caregivers of people with disabilities and children with chronic illnesses play an essential role in the health and well-being of those who depend on them. However, they frequently face high levels of stress, physical and emotional overload, and negative impacts on their quality of life. This lecture will address the scientific evidence on caregiver burden, its impact on health, and the role of dentistry in supporting families, promoting more humane, comprehensive, and person-centered care.
