Attachment Essentials for Predictable Aligner Treatment

An overview of the foundation of attachments and their role in aligner treatment. Attachment shapes and the related functions will be described in detail to improve decision making for placement during digital treatment design. The program will review aligner biomechanics fundamentals to better understand when, where and why an attachment is placed to support the treatment outcome. Criteria to consider for case selection will be reviewed, based on predictability of required movements. Precise clinical duplication of attachment design and position is key to the correct function of an attachment, and this will be demonstrated during the program.
