Cracked and fractured teeth remain one of dentistry’s most elusive and often devastating conditions. Diagnosis is frequently symptom-based and made too late - when the tooth is no longer salvageable. In this engaging and eye-opening lecture, attendees will learn how to identify and treat pathologic cracks long before symptoms arise. Using magnification up to 16X and innovative diagnostic protocols, the speaker presents a proactive, evidence-based approach to managing tooth fractures. Techniques covered include the Clark Class II saucer-shaped nonretentive preparation and the fissurotomy Class I - modern alternatives to outdated G.V. Black designs. Endodontic and periodontal considerations, as well as criteria for extraction, will also be addressed. This presentation offers a new vision for preserving teeth and preventing catastrophic failure.
