TikTok is a powerful platform that influences how patients view oral health, dental treatments, and at-home care practices. From viral whitening hacks and DIY orthodontics to influencer-promoted products and trending “quick fixes,” patients increasingly turn to TikTok for dental advice, often without understanding the potential risks. This course explores the dental hygienist’s role in recognizing, evaluating, and addressing popular TikTok dental trends that may impact patient care. Participants learn how to effectively discuss misinformation with patients.
