Prevention is not one product or one appointment. Risk presents as caries, periodontal disease, dry mouth, and sensitivity, often in the same patient. Prevention exists on a spectrum, from what the patient does at home to what the clinician applies in the operatory to what is restored when prevention arrives late. This session explores a comprehensive preventive approach across that full continuum, starting with chairside risk assessment and moving through home care, professional application, sealants and surface protection, and minimally invasive restoration.
