ANKYLOGLOSSIA: IMPACT, LASER, AND BREASTFEEDING
A modern and interdisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of tongue-tie disorders, integrating dentistry, breastfeeding, and myofunctional therapy. We will explore how ankyloglossia can influence breastfeeding, breathing, sleep, swallowing, speech, and posture; as well as the clinical criteria for differentiating cases that truly require intervention and avoiding overtreatment. In addition, we will address the use of lasers in frenectomies, current clinical protocols, soft tissue management, and functional follow-up to achieve predictable results.
