Description:

This course provides a comprehensive overview of how to diagnose and treat severely worn dentition using innovative, minimally invasive techniques. The focus will be on a new no-prep molding approach that increases the vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO), including the Single Composite Molding Index Technique and Flow Molding, with a discussion of their respective advantages and limitations. Participants will also learn when and how to bond on worn dentition using additive partial indirect restorations (onlays/overlays) in composite and/or ceramic, depending on the clinical indication. All protocols will be demonstrated step-by-step through clinical images and patient videos to provide a clear understanding of this hybrid direct-indirect adhesive approach.

 Learn to:

• diagnose worn dentition and its causes (corrosion, attrition, abrasion, abfraction)
• perform and stabilize clear index keys (connected and single index) and understand their pros and cons
• apply the no-prep direct adhesive approach using the Single Molding Index Technique and Flow Molding
• understand the indications and protocols for minimally invasive indirect adhesive restorations using composite and/or ceramic onlays and overlays
