Description:

Dentists are experts in diagnosing and managing diseases of the teeth and periodontium; however, most have less confidence when it comes to “non- dental” oral diseases. Yet dentists are responsible for providing comprehensive oral health care and must be familiar with the full spectrum of conditions that can affect the oral cavity. The audience will actively participate in this classroom-style case-based review of common and less common oral medicine conditions, working through clinical descriptions, differential diagnosis, and management considerations.

 Learn to:

• obtain a history and conduct a thorough examination and assessment
• generate a differential diagnosis that is logical and structured
• provide basic management of common conditions and recognize indications for referral
